Motorola launches budget smartphone Moto G at $179

The Google-owned Motorola has launched its much-awaited smartphone Moto G in Sao Paulo city of Brazil. 

The 8GB version of Moto G  with no contract has been priced at $179 and its 16GB version will cost $199 only.

Moto G will come with Android 4.3 as of now and will get guaranteed update of Kit Kat in January, 2014. 

While speaking at the launch, Punit Soni, Software Product Manager of Motorola Mobility, said that the flagship smartphone would gives its user a pure Android experience as it has been built keeping in mind the latest version of the OS. He further assured that Moto G is not going to be an obsolete handset in future as it will receive Kit Kit update by January, 2014.


Motorola will make this flagship phone available in the U.S., India and Middle-East in January itself. Later on it will roll out the device in more than 60 countries.
